Update from the Junior Committee

Welcome to everyone involved in the Onkas Junior Football Club.  This year ahead is gearing up to be a busy one with plenty of excitement and enjoyment to be had.  The junior committee has some new inclusions to thank which is excellent they are:

Thanks to these wonderful people for getting on board, the old saying "many hands make light work", never dies.  Some of you may have noticed the big caravan at the footy club.  This is our new BBQ van, where the junior football club will be selling hamburgers, snags and egg/bacon Sangers.  The van will be open earlier this year for bacon & egg sangers for breakfast.
 
Please indicate to you coach, committee member any time you can assist in working in the van on match days.

This year we will have the following teams

• 2 Under 8’s teams Red/Blue
  
• 1 Under 9’s/10’s/11’s 
  
• 1 Under 13’s team Central
  
• 1 Under 15’s (Junior Colts).
  
  
  
  The season kicks off the weekend after Easter April the 5th for the Under 15’s and the Under 13’s teams.  The Under 8’s to Under 11’s start their matches Saturday the 3rd of May.  Then finally the Aus kickers start Sunday May 11th at Balhannah oval 10AM until 11AM.
  
  If you are playing get out to training and get amongst it if you are a parent or friend volunteer to help with something (team manager, goal umpire, gate keeper more info here).  It’s all about the kids having a great time playing the game they love.
