Dogs New Signings in 2016
The Onka Valley Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of James Moore as the Senior Coach for the next 2 years.
Moore brings a wealth of experience in many fields of Australian Rules Football with a long history of playing, administration and coaching. This culminating in most recent times as the League Premiership Coach of the Meningie Football Club in 2014.
Prior to this Moore has held employment positions with the both the SANFL and also as Football Manager of the North Adelaide Football Club from 2003-2010. The coaching element of his career was then reignited after heading to the Meningie Football Club in 2012 to work alongside Senior Coach Daniel Motlop. In 2014 Moore took over the reins after Motlop departed and had instant success while carrying out the coaching duties for the next two seasons.
Living in Adelaide the opportunity to lead a club closer to home was a priority and when Onka Valley Football Club came knocking, Moore was excited to make this partnership prosper and then set out about setting a positive path for a resurgence of success at the Bulldogs.
“I am excited to be appointed Senior Coach at Onkas, I know a fair bit about the club through my younger days living and playing football around the Hills area. Personally I really want to get into it straight away and set the pathway for the players and club so we can start working hard in getting the on field results the club desires” said Moore
Club President Andrew Adcock was thrilled by the signing, “As a Football club we are delighted with this appointment, we are seeking a stable future in the coaching ranks and we are positive that we have found this with James. From the start his communication has been all about stability, structure and professionalism which are exactly what we were seeking. We already have a core of talented local players and we are committed to improving our clubs on field performances and getting our club back up at the top where it belongs.’ The Onka Valley Football Club welcomes James, his wife Jo and their two children Maddie and Cam to the Bulldogs family and we look forward to an exciting partnership together for the future.
